IA responsable
2. Qué no hace Acurant
- No inventa fuentes.
Responsible AI
We built Acurant to support good decisions, not to make them for you. Here is exactly how it works, and where its limits are.
1. What Acurant does
You give Acurant a research hypothesis or question. Acurant then:
- Retrieves published, peer-reviewed scientific literature relevant to your hypothesis.
- Uses a large language model to reason over that evidence.
- Returns a structured analysis: how much evidence exists, whether it agrees, how original your hypothesis appears, what gaps remain, and the sources behind each point.
2. What Acurant does not do
- It does not make decisions for you. Every output is a signal to inform your judgment, never a verdict.
- It does not invent sources. Every citation comes from the evidence retrieved, not from the language model's memory. If there is no evidence, Acurant tells you so.
- It does not process patient data or clinical records. It works on published literature only.
- It does not give medical, legal, or financial advice.
3. The AI we use
Acurant uses a large language model for reasoning only. Acurant is model-agnostic: we use the best available model for the task, and we may change which one over time. The model does not supply the scientific facts or the sources — those come from an independent scientific evidence provider. The model's job is to read that evidence and structure it, not to be the source of truth.
You are always interacting with an AI system when you use Acurant. This notice is that disclosure, and the same notice appears in the product itself the moment you start using it.
Acurant's output is always presented as a clearly labelled analysis generated by Acurant. It is never disguised as human-authored content or as authentic media, so the synthetic-content marking obligation for deepfakes and impersonation under the EU AI Act does not apply. The disclosure on this page and in the interface is what the regulation requires for a system like ours.
4. Its limits
- The analysis is only as complete as the sources Acurant can access at that moment.
- Language models can misread or misweigh evidence. Treat the output as a well-informed starting point, not a final answer.
- Acurant does not replace peer review, due diligence, or expert consultation.
5. Human oversight
Acurant is designed so that a human — you — always makes the final call. Nothing Acurant produces has legal or automated effect on anyone. If you ever want to understand how a particular analysis was produced, write to info@theagilemonkeys.com.
6. Why this classification matters
Because Acurant does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, it is not a high-risk system under the EU AI Act. It falls under transparency obligations, which this page fulfils. If that ever changes, we will update this page and meet whatever additional obligations apply.
